William Seltz, a School of Management lecturer who teaches intermediate accounting, and his wife, Lois L. Lindauer, recently gave $2,500 to the Office of the Dean of Students to help Hurricane Katrina victims at BU.

Seltz says he was moved to give the money when several Tulane students enrolled in his SMG course this fall. He has asked BU to spend the money to assist either Tulane students enrolled at BU or Boston University students from the area affected by Katrina.

“My wife and I decided to help when I saw Tulane students showing up in my class,” says the retired UMass Boston professor. “This seemed like the most direct and tangible way to do so.”

To donate money to help Katrina victims, write a check payable to: Boston University Emergency Student Aid Fund. Mail to: Office of the Dean of Students, 775 Commonwealth Ave., Third Floor, Boston, MA 02215.
