BMC appoints new surgical oncologist
Jennifer Rosen appointed to general surgery at BMC and assistant professor of surgery at MED.

Jennifer Rosen was recently appointed an assistant professor of surgery at Boston University School of Medicine and to the section of surgical oncology at Boston Medical Center.
“I’m very excited for this opportunity to be involved with such an exciting and diverse faculty and student base,” says Rosen. “I think it’s a wonderful base to do research.” Rosen’s clinical practice focuses on surgical oncology, with a concentration in endocrine and gastrointestinal surgery. Her research interests include thyroid cancer, novel three-dimensional models of cancer, and the genetics of treatment-resistant cancers.
Rosen previously was a clinical research associate at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Cancer Research, and the American Medical Women’s Association, as well as the recipient of the Beth Israel Senior Surgical Resident Clinical Achievement Award and the Hahnemann Medical College Outstanding Speaker’s Award.
