BU Commencement then and now
Commencement, the beginning of life after years of studying and working for a degree, honors the academic success of Boston University students and looks toward future career success. On Sunday, May 14, BU holds its 133rd Commencement, bestowing diplomas on approximately 8,000 undergraduates and graduate students, while more than 20,000 guests look on, at the outdoor ceremony on Nickerson Field.
