Professor of Surgery David McAneny is honored by the Massachusetts Medical Society.

The Massachusetts Medical Society awarded recently MED Professor of Surgery David McAneny for his contributions to medical education and his students.
McAneny, who is also a surgical oncologist and the primary endocrine surgeon at the Boston Medical Center, accepted the 2005 Grant V. Rodkey Award from the Massachuchets Medical Society on December 3.
The award was created in 1995 to honor Rodkey, a physician who the Medical Society believed “[had] given so much to students both in the hospital and in organized medicine.” McAneny is the tenth recipient of the award.
McAneny’s publications include articles on colorectal cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, the biliary tract, and the spleen. He is also the President of the Medical Dental Staff at the Boston Medical Center.
