The start of baseball season calls to mind BU baseball stars like Gordon “Mickey” Cochrane.
Gordon “Mickey” Cochrane (SMG’24) (right) was a catcher for the Philadelphia Athletics and the Detroit Tigers. The American League MVP played in five World Series and is in the Baseball Hall of Fame. In 1959, he joined the BU Varsity Club Hall of Fame, along with sports star Harold Carlson (SMG’26) (left).
