SED’s Shanley Allen presents at a language conference
SED's Shanley Allen made a presentation at a Language Acquisition and Bilingualism Conference.

Professor Shanley Allen presented “Language Acquisition in Inuktitut-English Bilinguals” at the Language Acquisition and Bilingualism Conference in Toronto on May 6.
The conference examined the impact of a multilingual environment on children’s linguistic development. The audience included researchers, educators, and practitioners who work with bilingual and multilingual children. The presentations will describe current research by leading scholars, representing a wide range of countries. Allen is an associate professor of education in the department of literacy and language, counseling and development.
