Justin Ren, a School of Management assistant professor of operations and technology management, recently received a 2007 Wickham Skinner Award for Early Career Research Accomplishment from the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS). The award will be presented during the POM-2007 meeting in Dallas May 4 to 7.

The award recognizes scholars who have received their doctorates in the past five years and whose work has already made a significant impact “in terms of its ability to broaden, extend, and alter the way POM is conceptualized, practiced and viewed,” according to the society. POMS is a professional organization that represents the interests of production and operations management professionals all over the world.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Ren’s research interests include operations management, game theory, and health-care management.
