Take a walk back in time and explore historic Salem and the Salem Witch Museum on Saturday, June 16. In 1692 hundreds of people were accused of sorcery in the town of Salem, and it was the site of several witch trials. Many were imprisoned, 19 were hanged, and one person was crushed to death.  The Salem Witch Museum’s new exhibition, Witches: Evolving Perceptions, examines the stereotypical witch, aspects of witchcraft in the 17th century, modern witchcraft, and the phenomenon of witch hunts.

The trip, part of the Student Activities Office Summerfest program, departs the GSU at 10 a.m. Bus tickets are $17 and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. To purchase a ticket, visit the Student Activities Business Office, One University Rd., Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
