Join us for a lively discussion with Mary Churchill and BU Wheelock Dean David Chard about the need for authentic, transparent, and student-focused leadership during times of crisis. This fireside chat will be moderated by Linette Decarie.

Churchill and Chard are the authors of the new book, When Colleges Close: Leading in a Time of Crisis, about the 2018 closing of historic Wheelock College, where Chard was president and Churchill was vice president of academic affairs. In 2018, the 130-year-old institution officially merged with Boston University. When Colleges Close explores the remarkable story of this merger, the lessons that were learned, and the subsequent birth of a new institution, the BU Wheelock College of Education & Human Development.
