Guest Speaker: Kristen Hoskins

On November 15, Kristen Hoskins will host students of the Art World class during a site visit to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, where she is the Curator of Lectures, Courses and Concerts.Ms. Hoskins spearheads the widely popular #MFANow Overnights.  She has developed collaborations with the performance art department as well as created programs such as The City Talks, and Namaste Saturday.  She received her Bachelor of Arts from Hobart & William Smith Colleges in History and Art History and Masters of Fine Arts from Seattle University in Nonprofit Arts Management. She previously held positions in performing arts at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, toured the US and Europe with numerous national touring acts, and was Audience Development Programs Manager at the EMP Museum of Sci-fi, Music and Pop Culture.

Ms. Hoskins will engage in an in-depth discussion with students about the work of developing public programs within the context of a major art museum.
