Job: Marketing and Communications Manager

 

Brookline Music School (BMS) seeks a .8 FTE marketing professional accountable for strategic marketing, communications and public relations. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a marketing plan which incorporates creating advertising strategies, managing the website and its content as well as social media, collateral materials and digital newsletters, attending local fairs, and building relationships with media and non-profit organizations in Brookline. A key component of the position is data collection and analysis to be used both to inform marketing strategy and to measure its effectiveness. The Manager works with an external consultant on website design and updates.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will be an excellent writer with sound graphic design skills and have at least five years of experience with a proven record in a strategic marketing/communications role including responsibility for both website content and social media. The selected individual will also be outgoing and self-motivated with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous work in a non-profit environment, and knowledge of music and Brookline are pluses. An undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, is required.
