Internship: Social Media

Internship Project: To develop and monitor marketing strategies, including print and social media campaigns to increase awareness of TransCultural Exchange.

The project will acquaint the intern with many international art programs around the globe, connect them to the people who run them and provide them with the possibility to take the theories and approaches they’ve learned in the classroom and apply them to a real-life situation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify target markets and create campaigns that will raise brand awareness.
  • Research and write marketing literature, including brochures and press releases.
  • Develop and post content on the organization’s social media platforms.
  • Monitor analytics and provide feedback for improved engagement.
  • Prepare reports on marketing strategies’ successes and failures, and make recommendations based on trends.

The chosen intern will work closely with TransCultural Exchange’s director and media coordinator to implement this program.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a knowledge of marketing research and strategies, be detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and have extensive experience of various social media platforms (particularly Instagram and Facebook).

TransCultural Exchange is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. For more than thirty-years, our mission has been to foster a greater understanding of world cultures through large-scale global art projects, cultural exchanges and educational programming — most notably, our International Conferences on Opportunities in the Arts. As UNESCO’s former Director-General Koichiro Matsurra noted, “TransCultural Exchange links “together artists all over the world in a spirit of international harmony and exchange.”
