Internship: Grant Writer
Eureka Ensemble is looking for grant writers in coordination with Eureka’s development associate and leadership team.
ABOUT THE POISTION
Eureka Ensemble’s Grant Writer helps to build the group’s capacity for the future through the researching, application, and documenting of grants, in coordination with Eureka’s development associate and leadership team, as necessary to ensure the attainment of predetermined financial benchmarks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and oversee grant application processes and seek out additional funding opportunities.
- Work closely with the board chair, development associate, and artistic director to determine goals, budgets, and an overarching strategy for fund-raising activities.
- Establish relationships with grant-making foundations, corporations, and government agencies that provide arts funding.
- Maintain a grants tracker and database.
- Provide updates for board meetings.
- Attend 1 to 2 weekly, 30-minute meetings with the board chair, development associate, and potentially other assistant grant writers.
COMPENSATION
This is an unpaid position. CPT/OPT students are welcome to apply.
REQUIREMENT
The intern must fulfill 10-15 hour per week. This position requires basic familiarity with general strategies in nonprofit and/or small business development and grant research, as well as interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain organized records and adhere to organizational timelines. The Grant Writer reports to the executive director and is responsible for providing limited administrative support for the members of Eureka’s development team.
