Jaclyn is a Boston-area native who has been enamored by the performing arts from a very young age. The daughter of two music teachers, she began playing flute at seven years of age, and immediately fell in love with musical theatre when she first saw The Phantom of the Opera two years later.

Jaclyn attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2012 with a BA in Music Performance (in cooperation with the Cleveland Institute of Music) and Spanish. She returned home to Boston immediately upon completion of her degree, and graduated from Boston University in 2015 with her MS in Arts Administration and Graduate Certificate in Fundraising Management.

Jaclyn currently works full-time as the Communications Director at New Repertory Theatre, and teaches flute lessons at the North End Music and Performing Arts Center. She sits on the board of Kadence Arts, and volunteers with Improbable Players. Jaclyn is passionate about arts management and advocacy, with an emphasis on adapting current marketing, audience development, and fundraising models to best fit the demands of today’s times.

When not working, Jaclyn enjoys horseback riding, reading, and jogging.

I began college with the intent of becoming a full-time, professional performer, but as I progressed through my undergraduate career it became clear to me that the lifestyle was likely not a good fit. I very naturally switched my focus to arts administration, as it combines beautifully my passion for the performing arts with my leadership skills and strong desire to help arts organizations thrive. BU’s arts administration program was perfect for me, as it allowed me to work full-time in the field during the day while earning my master’s degree at night. I’m grateful to the many insightful, passionate professors who were significant in setting me on my career path, and am delighted to be working for the arts organizations that mean so much to me in the city that I love.
