Megan is currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Arts Administration program at Boston University; she received her B.A. in Theatre Arts from Harding University, with a minor in Electronic Media.

While in school she worked in the costume shop and as a scenic painter, and was also a part of the Pied Pipers, a children’s improvisational acting troupe. Her major focus was in stage management, where she became the first student to stage manage the campus-wide music review show, Spring Sing.

After college, Megan worked as a stage manager for Harding University, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and then moved to Sacramento California for a stage management internship at B Street Theatre. This led to her first contract as an Equity Stage Manager. Wanting to continue to explore her passion for children’s theatre, Megan gained employment at Sacramento Theatre Company’s School of the Arts. It was here that she discovered her interest in arts administration. She served as the Production Coordinator and Stage Manager for the education series, as well as helped to establish, run, and grow STC’s Internship Program.

Megan’s goals and passions lie in creating, implementing, and running artistic programs that challenge their participants and add value to their surrounding communities.

Boston University’s emphasis on providing leaders who want to enrich their artistic communities, both locally and internationally, as well as the promise of a hands-on experience with faculty that work in their field, is something that deeply resonates with me. I can’t wait to soak up everything I can from this amazing program.
