Read Teju Cole's Interview with BU Today
Teju Cole was chosen to speak at this year’s annual Boston University Conversations in the Arts & Ideas, a series launched four years ago to elevate the presence of the arts and humanities at BU and beyond. Cole was to have spoken at last year’s event, but it was canceled by the pandemic. The virtual event, Known and Strange Things: An Evening in Conversation with Teju Cole, is tonight, Tuesday, March 23, at 6 pm. Crystal Williams, vice president and associate provost for community and inclusion and a College of Arts & Sciences professor of English, will interview Cole, and on Wednesday, he will participate in a virtual Q&A with Kilachand Honors College students who have been reading his nonfiction. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required and can be completed through Eventbrite.
Teju Cole spoke with John O’Rourke about his work ahead of tonight’s event. The interview can be found at BU Today.
The event is sponsored by the BU Center for the Humanities, Kilachand Honors College, Office of the Provost, CAS Dean’s Office, Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies, BU Arts Initiative, and CAS Core Curriculum.
