Shamili Satheesan

I graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2021 with a B.A. in Neuroscience and a minor in Psychology. In undergrad, I worked in Dr. Mara Breen’s lab studying implicit and explicit prosody during reading processes and in Dr. Katherine Binder’s lab studying the outcomes of online reading behavior on reading comprehension. My research interests are in reading/language acquisition and language processing in neurodevelopmental disorders. At CARE, I work on the POLO project looking at methods for predicting and optimizing language outcomes in minimally verbal children with ASD. In my free time, I like to read, consume way too much coffee and tea, and crochet!
