Shawn Stone

Manager, Vending Services

Shawn Stone, Manager for Vending Services, joined Boston University’s Vending Services in 1989. Shawn embarked on a career path, notably spending 15 years as a Sales and Marketing Representative at John Hancock, earning honor club for sales achievements. Transitioning to BU in 1989, Shawn introduced the points-based Laundry and Vending program and the Micro Fridge Rental Program in 1991, which now rents over 5,000 appliances annually. In 2015, Shawn launched the Student Storage Program, and in 2019, amidst the challenges of COVID-19, he managed the storage and shipping of students’ belongings. Furthermore, in 2022, Shawn installed the Plan B machine at the GSU Basement, demonstrating his continuous dedication to improving campus life. Shawn had attended and graduated from Boston University’s School of Management (now Questrom) in 1980 on a full football scholarship. Presently, Shawn supervises all appliance rentals, student shipping and storage, as well as laundry and vending machine operations.
