Alumni & Friends
Women’s History Month is a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women in our communities and across industries. From Helen Magill, the first woman in the US to earn a PhD in 1877, to Lucy Jenkins Franklin, who founded the HER House in 1928 to provide affordable housing for female students, BU has a rich history of empowering women. Throughout March and beyond, the BU Alumni Association is hosting a series of inspiring events highlighting women’s leadership and impact.
COMtalk: Women in Journalism on March 5
Providence Alumni Network International Women’s Day Tea Celebration on March 8
Elevating Women in Sports: A Conversation with BU Alumnae & Faculty on March 26
Women & Wealth: Building & Maintaining Financial Wellness Series from April 10 to April 29.
