American Heart Association Heartwalk
AHA Heartwalk

You are invited to walk with fellow members of the Boston University Bands community in the 2024 Boston Heart Walk! A tradition for more than a decade, the BU Marching Band and now the BU Pep Band continue to perform at this community event as one of their first performances of the Fall semester. BUBAN has participated in the event to not only support the BU Bands, but the American Heart Association.
This event is open to all Boston University Bands community members.
There is no webform for this event, however please register under our team, and order a shirt! Let us know if you’re coming to the Boston Heartwalk by RSVP’ing through our Facebook Event! Even if you are not walking and would like to join us in spirit/donate, please register and consider purchasing a custom designed shirt for you, friends or family! A portion of funds from t-shirts will be donated to the American Heart Association, while the other portion goes toward shirt production. More information below.

Schedule
10:00am – Meet at Boston Common, 131 Tremont Street – Peruse the various vendors in the area
10:30am – Boston Heartwalk Starts (We will stop by the BU Bands to watch them perform for a bit) – Typically we do the 1-mile route, but there’s no stopping you from doing the 3-mile route as well!

How it works
Teespring acts as a “storefront” for us to post and sell the custom designed shirt. Teespring also has integrations with charities and any profit made from the shirt sales will be donated directly to the American Heart Association on BUBAN’s behalf. The shirt will be shipped straight to your home address. Please note that shipping does take 9-12 business days upon the closing of the t-shirt campaign, so the shirt should arrive in time for the event.

This design was created by one of our own, Lisa Celmer (’14, ’19)!
Sizing
Please note that these are unisex shirts, so do check the sizing chart provided in Teespring. Children’s Sizes are available as well (See below for design)

This Heartwalk is open to all BU Bands community members. Even if you do not intend to walk, we hope that you will support the cause by ordering a t-shirt or two! The beauty of this design is that it can be worn at any AHA Heartwalk now or in the future, as the design is not specific to Boston.
