Dr. Ersem Karadag earned his Ph.D. Degree at Oklahoma State University in 2003 focusing on Hospitality Administration. After graduation, he joined Robert Morris University as an assistant professor; promoted to associate professor in 2009 and to full professor in 2016. 

Dr. Karadag currently serves as the Vice President of the Association of North America Higher Education International (ANAHEI) and is a former industry professional who worked in international hotel chains, such as Regent Hotels, Conrad Hotels, and Ramada International hotels as financial controller and director.

His research mainly focuses on Hospitality Financial Management, Hospitality Information Technology, and Internal Control. Dr. Karadag publications appeared in many journals such as Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Foodservice Business Research, Tourism Economics, and Journal of Hospitality Financial Management.

Dr. Karadag serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology and Impact of Globalization and Advanced Technologies on Online Business Models.
