Hyejin Yoon is an assistant professor in the Department of Hotel & Tourism, and the editor-in-chief of the university press and broadcasting center at Baewha Women’s University, Seoul, South Korea. She earned her first Ph.D. in Tourism at Kyung Hee University in Korea and her second Ph.D. in Leisure Behavior at Indiana University-Bloomington in the United States. She also obtained a graduate certificate in Gerontology and Health at IU. She has participated in policy research on the employment safety net for the tourism industry in 2021 with the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute (KCTI) in the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Her research interests include tourism development for marginalized groups, leisure/tourist behavior and quality of life, and aging well.
