Elena Gomez, a senior with a major in Biology with a Specialization in Ecology & Conservation Biology and a minor in Marine Science, published in the journal Herpetology Notes. In her paper, “Egg-kicking behaviour by male gliding treefrogs (Agalychnis spurrelli Boulenger, 1913) does not dislodge competitors’ eggs,” she tested the widely accepted egg-scraping hypothesis in a large natural population of A. spurrelli on Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula using video analyses of natural history observations across multiple breeding events.
