Alondra traveled to Vienna Austria, for a research internship with the Vienna BioCenter. For her internship, Alondra was worked for two months on an assigned project. Throughout the internship she attended seminars and talked with PIs at the BioCenter about the different types of research being conducted.

I was able to work in another country and familiarize myself with the process. I also was able to travel through Austria and Germany! I learned a lot, started to understand research with an international perspective, and made so many connections with other students from all over the world I wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for this program.

Alondra was sponsored by Dr. Cruz-Martín in the Biology Department.
