Current Research:

Hydrothermal vents have been proposed to exist under the oceans of Europa and Enceladus and may be hosts for life as they are here on Earth. In light of this, I am working on understanding how microorganisms are currently living at the deepest hydrothermal system currently known to science by answering three fundamental questions: Who is active? Who is there? And what are they doing?
