• Area of Study Biology

Where are you from?

Leonia, New Jersey

What is your major and how did you choose it?

I opted for the Biology major without concentration because I wanted the most freedom in scheduling – taking all kinds of classes in the department without worrying about specific requirements.

What is your favorite biology course and why?

My favorite Biology course to date is probably BI 302: Vertebrate Zoology. The professor is enthusiastic and eloquent, and the material itself instills within you a more imaginative outlook on our evolutionary history that incorporates recent studies and a diverse array of theories. The evolution of vertebrates is a beautiful narrative and we are at a rather privileged point in time to be able to look back on all the evidence there is in an attempt to piece it together ourselves. Labs involve direct contact with the specimen covered in lecture. It’s as hands-on as you make of it in addition to the content itself being very interesting.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in?

BU Korean Student Association and Alpha Chi Sigma.

What is your favorite dining spot on or around campus?

Restaurants in South Campus like Cafe Landwer and Futago.

What is your favorite BU memory?

Everything KSA-related…if unclear come find out!

What’s one BU tip you wish you knew sooner?

Sleep regular hours so you can be more attentive in classes! There is much more to glean than most people give lectures credit for.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Hopefully pursuing an MS in Oral Health Sciences.
