Tom Gilmore Joins Beckman Scholars Program Executive Committee
Professor Tom Gilmore was welcomed to the Executive Committee of the Beckman Scholars Program, a program funded by the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation. The Beckman Scholars Program is a mentored research experience for undergraduate students in chemistry, biology, or related fields. Regarding his joining the Executive Committee, Tom said, “I am delighted to join…Over the years, I have seen the Beckman Scholars Program serve as a stepping stone to successful research careers for several of our most talented undergraduates with an early interest in research, and I am excited to be a part of that process at the national level. Dr. Beckman’s dedication to scientific excellence and creativity continues to be an inspiration.
