Studying Abroad Is Easy at BU
The BMB Program encourages students to study abroad in Grenoble, France or Madrid, Spain. These programs are tailored towards science and pre-med students.
Both programs combine science coursework with foreign language and culture studies. They allow students to take courses that fit neatly into their existing sophomore curricula and requirements. In addition to coursework, students participate in guided field trips to research institutions, industries, and technical museums. Upon successful completion of the program, students earn 16 Boston University credits.
If you plan to study abroad somewhere other than Madrid or Grenoble, we recommend meeting with the study abroad office well in advance of your abroad semester. You will work with your study abroad and academic advisors to choose courses to take while you’re abroad. To help you with this process, we made two lists of courses that have been approved in the past – one by institution and one by course number. Keep in mind that courses are constantly being updated, so even if a class is on this list there is no guarantee it will still be approved. Reach out to your academic or study abroad advisor with any questions or concerns you have about study abroad programs.
