Tuition and Fees Advisory Committee

The Tuition and Fees Advisory Committee is an advisory group to the University provost that is responsible for recommending and implementing tuition and fee rates and related procedures.

The committee prepares and issues requests for tuition and fee rate proposals from appropriate academic and administrative personnel. The proposed rates of new and existing programs are reviewed for consistency with Boston University policies (including refund and late payment policies). The committee defines, evaluates, and resolves administrative issues, concerns, and problems that may arise in implementing proposed rates. In the course of doing so, representatives from appropriate University offices such as registrar, finance, and financial aid are often consulted to assist in the review.

The committee does not evaluate the academic merits of new or existing programs.
