The charisma that helped Geena Davis capture
Hollywood's attention, and ultimately, an Academy
Award seems here to have its hooks in two shaggy
young men. When Davis came to BU in 1975, she'd
already decided it was her life's calling "to be a
star," according to her high school yearbook entry.
Taken at the BU Theatre in 1978, this photo gives a
candid look at the star-to-be as an SFA
undergraduate. Although she didn't appear in that
evening's production of Shakespeare's King John,
she managed to make herself the center of attention
