Brian Dunford

Brian Dunford (COM’96) of Milton, Mass., is a Boston police officer in Dorchester. He recently self-published South of Evil, a crime thriller set in Texas and Mexico. “It’s not a grumpy cop memoir; it’s a legitimate novel. I’ve been completely blown away by the initial response,” he writes. “In my professional life, I’m in community service, trying to find innovative and nontraditional solutions to Dorchester’s issues. Homicides dropped from 16 to 7 last year, and Dorchester’s neighborhoods are on the verge of real positive change. I’ve had an interesting life and career, and now I’m attacking a new challenge.”
