Gregory Knepper
Gregory Knepper (CAS’92) of Oakton, Va., has published a research paper for the Brookings Institution that looks at challenges facing the use of air power in military campaigns, particularly range limits in contested airspace and persistence limits in permissive airspace, exploring issues related to fueling and refueling. Greg—a US Navy commander who has served as a strike fighter pilot assigned to multiple squadrons and aircraft carriers in support of Operations Southern Watch, the Global War on Terrorism and Iraqi Freedom, among other assignments—was a Federal Executive Fellow at Brookings in 2013–2014.
