Diversity Travel Fellowship

Please note: The Diversity Travel Fellowship has been funded for the past 8 years by a grant from the National Institutes of Health for the purpose of promoting diversity in science. That grant was terminated in March 2025. We are actively seeking alternative sources to fund the student travel fellowship; our ability to host this award is contingent on identifying funding. We encourage interested students to apply for the award so that if funding becomes available, we can consider applications.

The Diversity Travel Fellowship is funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health for the purpose of promoting diversity in science. The award is meant to assist students who are interested in attending BUCLD by subsidizing their expenses for attending (travel, lodging, registration). Applicants are encouraged to list all costs associated with attending BUCLD.

Students need not be authors on abstracts to apply. Preference is given to applicants with the greatest need, those who have not previously received a travel award, and individuals from historically marginalized communities.

Submissions for the Diversity Travel Fellowship are now open. The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2025.
