The session, which was led by BU PhD students, was part of a three day long education program in honor of National Biomechanics Day.
In addition to visiting the Lewis Lab, the high schoolers (the program serves 50 students from Boston Green Academy, Josiah Quincy Upper School, Chelsea High and Charlestown High School or who attend a public school and live in Chelsea, Dorchester, East Boston, Mattapan, and Roxbury) will visit the Connizzo Lab and Albro Lab at ENG on April 24 (cartilage mechanics lab and osteoarthritis diagnostics lab respectively) and on Friday, they’ll visit the Nazarian and Freedman Lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, which focuses on developing therapeutics for musculoskeletal aging and diseases.
