FAQ for Supervisors & Managers

What if the employee doesn’t want to report the incident or refuses evaluation or care? | Call BU Occupational Health (BUOHC) for instructions and support.
If your employee reports an injury or illness that resulted from a reported work incident, but refuses evaluation/treatment, BUOHC will require the employee to be evaluated in order to determine their ability to return to work with or without an accommodation. The BUOHC team will discuss evaluation options with the employee. |
What if the injured employee has questions about his or her claim?

Direct the employee to contact BUOHC.

What do I do if my employee brings me medical bills or documents/records related to their work related injury? | Do not accept or make copies of any medical information including bills. Direct the employee to submit medical information to BUOHC. |
