Bonnie is a licensed registered nurse in the states of Massachusetts and Florida.  She has been with the Center for Anxiety since its inception at the State University of New York at Albany in the 1980s and moved with it to Boston University in 1996.  Bonnie also holds a degree in Communication, Public Relations, from Boston University.   Beyond her former role of Clinic Administrator, she served as research nurse on several federally funded research studies, co-treated patients with medically related anxiety disorders, and oversaw public relations on behalf of the Center for Anxiety.  In addition, she coordinatedtraining opportunities for students seeking research volunteer positions.

Bonnie was the BU College of Arts and Sciences recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Service Awards for Staff:

“… Bonnie actually wears many ‘hats’ at BU,’ including public/media relations publicist for CARD research projects, research nurse, supervisor of all office staff, and the office administrator of CARD … During the pandemic year, Bonnie helped to create a psychological support mechanism for MA frontline health care workers as well as a research study with the Mass Nurses Association looking at the psychological and health impacts of COVID on front-line nurses in MA.”

In retirement, Bonnie will serve in the capacity of a volunteer in answering the emergency contact line after hours, weekends and holidays to apprise therapists of calls received. Otherwise, she will be playing lots of tennis, working on community volunteer programs, and enjoying time with her family.
