Rachel Merson is the Clinical Director of the Child and Adolescent Fear and Anxiety Treatment Program (Child CARD). She is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at BU and also serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Training for BU’s Clinical Psychology program. Dr. Merson completed her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia prior to receiving her doctoral degree from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. Dr. Merson has extensive experience working with youth with a wide variety of anxiety presentations and particular expertise in treating selective mutism. For the past several years, she has held a leadership position in the Selective Mutism Association (SMA), a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing the most comprehensive and accurate information and resources about selective mutism.
