Exploring career opportunities is an integral part of the MSSP program.  In our Stats@work Wednesday program enrichment series you will meet working statisticians who will offer their insights about the role of statistics and statisticians in industry.  MSSP graduates will share their stories from the program, their first steps after graduation, and career development experiences.  Career development sessions with MSSP faculty will help you take your first steps and point you to additional BU resources.  MSSP also gives you the flexibility to complete the program in two or three semesters, giving you time to explore, do an internship in the summer between your second and third semesters.  Many students use the second part-time fall semester for career-specific electives and a well-focused search for an initial job.  The wide variety of work MSSP graduates do speaks to the strength of MSSP as a foundation for a professional career.  MSSP graduates work as managers, researchers, data scientists, analysts, machine learning specialists, and consults in a variety of fields including banking, investment management, manufacturing, insurance, entertainment, government,  sports analytics, private equity and many other fields.
