Once you have registered for courses with your department, use the MyBU Student Portal to view your class schedule and student account. In order to be officially registered, your bill must be paid in full by the payment deadline. The payment deadline for Spring 2021 is Monday, December 21, 2020. Please follow the directions for the methods of payment listed below (or visit Student Accounting Services for more information).
Electronic Payment
Please make a payment using a U.S. bank account online at MyBU Student Portal. Select Money Matters, then Student Account Inquiry, and click on the Make a Payment link.
Personal Check, Money Order
Please make the check or money order payable to Boston University in US dollars. Write your name and BU ID number on the front of the check or money order. You may drop off the payment at Student Accounting Services, 25 Buick Street, Suite 130, Boston, MA 02215, or mail the payment to the same address.
Cash
Please go to Student Accounting Services, 25 Buick Street, Suite 130, Boston, MA 02215.
Credit Card
The University does not accept credit card payments for full-time students. Part-time students who are registered for less than 12 credits and who are not certified full-time may pay with a credit card. Please to go to the Student Link and select Money Matters, Student Account Inquiry, and then Make a Payment.
International Payment
Boston University now offers two new options for international payments to a student account balance. Please visit Student Accounting Services for more information on how to pay via this method.
Part-Time Deferred Payment Plan
Part-time students who register for less than 12 credits and who are not certified as full-time have the option of enrolling in one of two deferred payment plans. Enrollment is available online at the Student Link and must be completed by the semester payment deadline. Click on Money Matters, then Student Account Inquiry, and select the Deferred Payment option.
University Financial Aid (BU Grants and Scholarships)
Scholarship aid should appear as a credit on your student account. Please pay any remaining balance as instructed above. If your university aid is missing, please contact the Graduate School Financial Aid Office. Note: Students receiving aid which includes BU basic medical insurance may not see a credit until approximately the 3rd or 4th week of classes. If the only remaining balance is due to basic insurance (all other charges have been paid) then your student account will be settled without late fees. Federal Unsubsidized Loans
If your loan has been approved by the University, the semester loan amount should appear as a pending credit on your student account. Please pay any remaining balance as instructed above. If your loan does not appear on your bill, please contact the Graduate School Financial Aid Office.
Credit-based Loans (Graduate PLUS, MEFA, etc)
If funds have been approved and disbursed to the University, then a pending credit should appear on your student account. Please pay any remaining balance as instructed above. If the funds have not been approved or disbursed, then the credit will not appear. In this instance, please contact the Graduate School Financial Aid Office.
Outside Agency Awards (aid from non-University sources)
If you have an tuition award from a source other than Boston University, you will need to provide documentation of your outside award to Student Accounting Services, 25 Buick Street, Suite 130, Boston, MA 02215, to settle/pay your account.
