College of Arts & Sciences Student Government

 

Mission

The mission of the Boston University College of Arts & Sciences Student Government is to advocate for and represent the interests of the CAS student body. We seek to foster relationships within the CAS and BU communities by connecting students to resources in order to improve the quality of student life. We also provide discretionary funding to student organizations affiliated with CAS.

Committees

CAS Student Government consists of four committees:

  • Advocacy Committee – comprised of the CAS Student Government Senators. They will work collaboratively on projects aimed to address student challenges and concerns.
  • Financial Affairs Committeeoversee the CAS Student Government finances and evaluate funding requests from CAS-affiliated clubs and organizations.
  • Internal Affairs Committee – responsible for disseminating CAS Student Government information. Oversees CAS Stu Gov social media channels, website, and newsletter. Assists CAS clubs by promoting their events/programs.
  • Student Affairs Committee – organizes CAS-wide events and programs, as well as smaller-scale Student Government bonding events. Works collaboratively with CAS clubs to co-host events.
