Naming and Remembering: The First Africans in America

The African American Studies Program, BU community members, and Golden Decade members will be reading the names of the first African Americans who were transported from Atlantic Africa, survived the horrors of the Middle Passage, endured enslavement during the first sixty years in British and Dutch America, and who established the foundations of African Diasporic communities in the United States and British Caribbean.
All are welcome to attend and take part in the reading.
