Join GoinGlobal’s immigration experts to explore 3 US work options commonly used by F-1 students. F-1 students studying at American universities have limited options for working during their degree programs. An important option allowing off-campus employment is Curricular Practical Training (“CPT”). Similarly, students may be eligible to apply for “pre-completion” Optional Practical Training (OPT), which also allows for off-campus employment. This webinar will address issues related to CPT and pre-completion OPT as strategies to working during their degree program. The session will also discuss “post-completion” OPT as the best strategy for getting work in the US after graduation. Post completion OPT, coupled with the STEM extension, can provide opportunities to work in the US for up to 3 years upon graduation. Each of these work options (CPT, OPT and STEM) will be explored in this webinar. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the presentation.
