Deferral Request Form for Admitted Students to a GRS PhD program, the MFA in Creative Writing, or the MFA in Playwriting

This form can only be used by admitted applicants to a PhD program, the Creative Writing MFA, or the Playwriting MFA at the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (GRS).

Before submitting this Deferral Request Form, please make sure you have read the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences policy on deferral requests.  You can only request a deferral if you previously accepted the offer of admission by the deadline listed in the admission letter.

PLEASE NOTE: If you were not offered admission, or previously declined admission, you are not eligible for deferral. You must submit a new application and pay the application fee.

Please complete and submit this form by August 15 for fall term applicants and by December 15 for spring term applicants.
