Professor of Political Science Graham K. Wilson was invited by the U.S. State Department to deliver a series of talks in Vietnam on the 2008 elections. It was the first time an American scholar was invited there to address the topic of American elections and democracy. Pictured here, Wilson and Dean Virginia Sapiro discuss the elections with students at the Vietnam National University College of Social Sciences and Humanities in Hanoi. Wilson and Sapiro addressed other university audiences in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as members of the Vietnamese National Assembly. Sapiro also met with university leaders in both cities to discuss possible linkages with BU.
