The CAS Awards and Recognition Ceremony, which takes place every year on Friday of Commencement Weekend, honors the academic and co-curricular achievements of our students. Award winners will be notified in April and invited to attend the event with their families and friends. This event is by invitation only. This year, the CAS Awards & Recognition Ceremony will be held at the Tsai Performance Center on Friday, May 16th from 2pm-3:30pm.
The CAS Awards & Recognition Ceremony will recognize the following award recipients:
- Alumni Awards for Writing Excellence Winners
- CAS College Prize Winners
- Susan J Jackson Award Winner
- Service to the College Honorees: FY101 Peer Mentors & Peer Fellows, CAS Dean’s Hosts and CAS Student Government members
The Susan K. Jackson Award
The Susan Jackson Award will honor one graduating senior and one graduate student who created and nurtured community in the College of Arts & Sciences. Susan demonstrated her dedication to CAS in many ways, not least through her care for other people. She guided and mentored undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, and administrators, and in doing so strengthened the College. Nominations are open each Spring.
