Virtual Desktops

The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) service offered by CAS Information Technology provides faculty and students with a standardized desktop environment outside of a traditional computer lab setting. By downloading and installing the VMware Horizon Client, the virtual machines (VMs) are accessible from any computer connected to the BU network. Please refer to the documents below for detailed instructions.

BU’s VPN (Virtual Private Network) is necessary for using VDI off-campus. Download instructions for using VPN

Maintenance Windows

Virtual Desktop maintenance is scheduled every 1st Friday of the month from 4-8AM. VMs will be unavailable intermittently for the duration of the outage.
