Cyntia Barzelatto

Graduate Student

I am a doctoral student in the Developmental Science program working with Dr. Amanda Tarullo at the BEE Lab. I hold a Psychology degree from Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University. Prior to joining the BEE lab, I worked as a Parent-Child Clinician providing mental health services to Latino immigrant families in the Boston area.

As a doctoral student, I am interested in studying how early life experiences and social contexts interact with individual differences in temperament and physiological reactivity, to influence neurocognitive and socio-emotional functioning. My goal is to identify factors that promote resilience to ultimately inform interventions for children and families exposed to adversity.
