Jacqueline Guzman

Research Assistant

I am an undergraduate student at Boston University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. On campus I am actively involved in Alpha Phi Omega and Peer Health Exchange. Coming from a low socioeconomic background and being first generation Mexican American I have noticed the lack of psychology research on minority groups in the United States. For this reason I hope to contribute to research that will cater to minority groups in the United States. I would like to do further research on the effects that low socioeconomic stress and cultural identity have on the cognitive and emotional development of children. I am interested in pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology and M.D. in Psychiatry.
