Welcome New Staff Members

Alessandra Augusto joined CDS in January 2024 as the Events & Communications Manager

As the Events & Communications Manager for the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences, Alessandra leverages her extensive experience in project management, e-commerce, strategic communications, and higher education. Reporting to the Director of Communications, she collaborates closely with CDS faculty and administrative staff to plan and implement high-profile events and programs critical to faculty and student recruitment, retention, career advancement, and the academic mission of CDS. Nicole Bonito joined CDS in November 2023 as the Assistant Director of Graduate Aid and Operations

Nicole serves as the primary point of contact for all CDS graduate students who seek counsel regarding institutional, federal, and private financial aid. She assists with the admissions communications processes for the Data Science and Bioinformatics master’s and PhD programs. She also manages a portfolio of fellowships, internships, and other scholarship opportunities for CDS undergraduate and graduate students, assisting students with application processes. Read more.


Catie Kim joined CDS in October 2023 as the Director of Special Initiatives

As part of BU’s Special Initiatives team, Catie coordinates efforts between the office of Development & Alumni Relations and CDS. She serves as a resource and connector, working to secure private support and build meaningful and impactful partnerships with CDS. Read more.
