Excerpt from KPMB | October 22, 2024
The Center for Computing & Data Sciences, Boston University’s first LEED building, has won a New England Architecture Award.
Organized and hosted by AIA Maine, the 2024 New England Architecture Awards recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievements in support of the profession of architecture. Winners are judged and selected for their creativity, context, sustainability, and design excellence.
Located on Boston University’s central campus, the Center for Computing & Data Sciences is an anchor connecting the University’s 17 schools, colleges, centers, and labs. It is the realization of the University’s goals to establish a teaching and research facility that would showcase its rigour and excellence in data science; support the core fields associated with the interdisciplinary study of computing and data sciences; meet ambitious sustainability targets; and create a dynamic addition to their campus and the city’s skyline.
